Cochlear Keyrings
Cochlear took the idea for a keyring that holds the spare batteries required to operate their hearing devices and also assists the user to remove the current batteries and brought it to Box and Dice looking for a well designed, usable solution that was also cost efficient to produce. Box and Dice refined the design, reducing the number of parts and maintaining optimal functionality in order to produce a solution that was cheaper and better than the originally proposed idea.
Working closely with an injection moulding house Box and Dice continued modifying the tooling and process until the flow was perfected and the detailing was pleasing to the user. The end result being a quality product of low production cost in quantities of 2,000 to 5,000.
