Cochlear Demonstration Models

Our primary involvement with Cochlear has been in the production of these Demonstration models for educational purposes. These highly complex pieces are manufactured at Box and Dice. Several different parts are formed using an injection moulding machine which moulds silicon parts in brass tooling.

Interestingly a lot of the hurdles that we encounter producing these models are the very same ones those producing the actual implants encounter, which reflects how closely these models imitate the originals, down to small production details.
