These demonstration models are used for educational purposes, so their accuracy is important in order to best represent the real thing. They are highly complex products with most of the pieces being manufactured in-house at Box and Dice. Several different parts are formed using an injection moulding machine which moulds silicon parts in brass tooling.

Interestingly a lot of the hurdles that we encounter producing these models are the very same ones those producing the actual implants encounter, which reflects how closely these models imitate the originals, down to small production details.
